Test run can only finish as quickly as possible if we plan the execution of tests with regard to the expected duration of the test. Marathon takes into account two key aspects of test execution: Marathon's primary focus is on full control over the balance between stability of test execution, testing performance and cost.įor more information see the documentation Overview Performance By default, most of these are set to conservative defaults but custom configurations are encouraged for those who want to optimize performance and/or stability. Marathon implements multiple key concepts of test execution such as test batching, device pools, test sharding, test sorting, preventive retries as well as post-factum retries. It offers easy to use platform implementations for Android and iOS as well as an API for use with custom hardware farms and more techstacks. Marathon is a fast, platform-independent test runner focused on performance and stability. Specifically it helps with stability of test execution adjusting for flakiness in the environment and in the tests and also achieves best performance using high parallelization TL DR Marathon is a project that helps execute tests in the shortest time possible.

Tekkit revolutionized the world of modded Minecraft with its large but well-fitting and very compatible selection of mods. It functioned for both clients and servers, and included support for Bukkit. It's predecessor was Technic SMP and it is essentially the multiplayer version of Technic SSP. Technic released one of their most popular modpacks for 1.2.5, named Tekkit. With his newfound popularity, KakerMix assembled a team to update Technic for newer versions of Minecraft and eventually create the Technic Launcher and further modpacks. It only had a few downloads until it was reviewed by a member of The Yogscast where it was brought to the forefront of their fans. Technic originated as a small modpack named Technic released in Beta 1.7.3 by KakerMix on Something Awful. However, the Technic modpacks and launcher still have a cult following within its own community, and Technic still has a large legacy, paving the way for future modpacks and modpack distribution platforms. As such, Technic is no longer a large part of the modded community. Īlthough Technic was once hegemonic in the modded community, the Technic Team has not released one of their own modpacks in years, nor have they modified their launcher beyond basic maintenance. The Technic Launcher was created to automatically install of the Technic modpacks, including over 10,000 third-party modpacks. It only had a few downloads until it was reviewed by a member of The Yogscast, where it was placed into the spotlight of their many fans. Technic was originally created as a small, personal modpack by KakerMix on a website named Something Awful. Technic is a launcher, community and large group of modpacks created by the Technic Team. For the original modpack, see Technic SSP. This page is about the launcher and group of modpacks. Breath of the Dying is more powerful in 2-handed weapon choices. In a much higher-damage 2-handed weapon, a percentage-based damage modifier system is more powerful, so we recommend using Grief only in one-handed weapons. Grief is incredibly strong when placed in a one-handed weapon, where the lower base damage won't matter much. However, it does not affect Kick damage for Assassins. It's also the only known weapon that contributes its damage to the Paladin ability Smite, making it an absolute must-have for Smiter builds. Players can experience damage gains over 1,000% using Grief together with well-chosen auras and equipment, though these gains aren't easy to see in number format. Combined with traits such as ignoring AND reducing target defense, added Poison damage through Venom (along with reducing enemy poison resist), preventing monster heal, and 20% chance of Deadly Strike, Grief is an incredible damage dealer. It's a flat damage gain, not a percentage gain (note that it says +340-400, not +340-400%). Don't take the lack of damage showing up on the character screen as a sign that Grief doesn't "work". However, since much of this damage is invisible in the character window, many players don't realize what an absolute monster Grief really is until they try it for themselves. All of its damage piles directly on to the weapon's damage - the base damage of the weapon counts very little toward the overall damage of the weapon. Some players may discount it due to its glaring lack of %damage bonuses, but that's actually the hidden beauty of Grief. Grief's description may not make it appear to be one of the very highest-damage weapon Runewords in game, but it absolutely is a hidden powerhouses. 35% Chance To Cast Level 15 Venom On Striking And here, we see Aiden go from a wannabe Hunter with a cast iron skillet strapped to his chest to a true slayer of beasts.Īiden’s “training” is what Monster Hunter: Legends of the Guild gets right. The rest of Monster Hunter: Legends of the Guild’s runtime features Aiden and Julius - the Geralt lookalike Guild Hunter who saved Aiden - trying to stop a rampaging Teostra before it wipes out a valley’s worth of villages. Before the Velocidrome can finish Aiden off, a more seasoned Hunter swoops in and takes it out with ease - a feeling that any new Hunter who has played with seasoned friends is well aware of. But unlike in a Monster Hunter game’s early missions, Aiden’s Velociprey hunt gets interrupted by a Velocidrome, a much bigger version of the raptorlike monster. Every Hunter’s journeyĪiden’s journey starts just like many players’ stories, with him hunting a small, relatively harmless monster. And while the 58-minute film is messy, it nails that early Monster Hunter feeling of being new to the hunt and eager to take down some big critters. Elder dragons are serious threats, and Aiden has a story from his past to tell his new Hunter friends, to illustrate why they should be afraid.Īiden is a side character from several of the Monster Hunter games, but Legends of the Guild follows a much younger Aiden, a kid from a small village who wants to be a Guild-sanctioned Monster Hunter - just like players are in the game franchise. Aiden doesn’t run his fingernails down a chalkboard to shut them up, or wax poetically about doll’s eyes, and he’s a 20-something redhead, not a surly old fisherman. On a ship sailing to a new world, excited Hunters chat about how they’ll take down the elder dragon Zorah Magdaros. In a frame story bookending Netflix’s short animated movie Monster Hunter : Legends of the Guild, one Hunter, Aiden, takes a page from the veteran sailor Quint in Steven Spielberg’s Jaws. Crits are frequent and brutal in torchless, so the less enemy turns get taken the better. Preventing enemies from taking turns is infinitely better than healing the damage after they've taken their turn. This means putting on stuff like prot debuffs, movement correction skills even if a hallway fight is scouted etc the only fights where you can assume you won't be shuffled are scouted room battles.Ĥ. Additionally assume every hallway fight is a shambler at veteran or champion and make sure your skills on your heroes are set up to deal with a shambler. Once you start doing veteran dungeons assume every dungeon will have a shambler. Be conservative with this one, be patient for a good trinket from it but at the same time don't do it really early just because of a good trinket because that's a huge trap.ģ. It's better to do it a bit too late than a bit too early. On normal bloodmoon I could do a bit earlier than that and be fine but on torchless my experience has been doing it too early can slowly send the run into a death spiral. Hold off on clearing the first CC mission until you can comfortably clear veteran dungeons. This isn't essential by any means but getting access to an extra hero on week 2 is a pretty big deal given the circumstances, and having 4 heroes per week in general in the early game is really nice.Ģ. On week 1 you can use some crests to by a deed to level the stage coach up to 4 heroes per week. I figured I'd come here and post some tips I've learned along the way as well as ask for any other good tips anyone might have. So I've been working for a little while on getting my first win on torchless bloodmoon and it's been more brutal than I anticipated. |
